Ryn LaRanger is an artist living and working in Brooklyn, NY. Since graduating from Pratt Institute in 2008, LaRanger's work has continued to evolve into a unique blend of self-expression and dreamlike exploration. Using watercolor as their medium of choice, LaRanger crafts pieces that serve as windows into their emotional landscape. Their ethereal color palette mixes with the colors of viscera and sharp lines, creating an interplay of inner and outer. By combining techniques from blind contour drawing to tracing their actual form, LaRanger continuously seeks to understand and capture the evolution of their physical self over time.
